{"id":125,"date":"2011-10-09T09:24:47","date_gmt":"2011-10-09T13:24:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gabmonkey.com\/arcade\/?p=125"},"modified":"2014-11-30T20:33:00","modified_gmt":"2014-12-01T01:33:00","slug":"painting-the-cabinet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gabmonkey.com\/arcade\/2011\/10\/painting-the-cabinet\/","title":{"rendered":"Painting the Cabinet"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I chose a green paint for the cabinet, to build upon the Turtles theme. \u00a0The paint is a melamine paint, and from what I read\u00a0on-line\u00a0it is designed to harden well. \u00a0Because MDF is not like normal wood I also made sure to prime the entire cabinet. \u00a0Not just to make\u00a0painting\u00a0easier but to protect it better as well.<\/p>\n<p>The only area I didn&#8217;t apply paint to the outside cabinet was where the artwork was going to go. I just made sure to prime it, and then figured the artwork would cover up that space.<\/p>\n<p>Overall the painting was probably one of the easier tasks.<\/p>\n<div id='gallery-1' class='gallery
